Predator 212cc Torque Specs, Billet Rod & Flywheel

When re-assembling the Predator 212cc engines, use the following torque specs
Connecting rod (stock): 108 inch lbs
Side cover bolts: 17 foot lbs
Head bolts: 17 foot lbs or 204 inch lbs
Rocker studs: 17 foot lbs or 204 inch lbs (NOT rocker arm adjusters!)
Rocker adjuster nuts: 94 inch lbs
Flywheel nut: 54 foot lbs

Please note some values are in INCH pounds, and others in FOOT pounds

Instructions for installing ARC billet rod and flywheel

When installing the ARC billet rod make sure the bearing and rod serrations are clean and install the bearings. Lubricate the rod bolt threads and hand tighten the bolts. Using the torque wrench tighten the bolts to 60" lbs. Alternate each side to increase the torque by 20" lbs at a time until you reach 150"lbs. Then loosen the bolts and repeat the torque process. this helps seat the rod bearing especially on a new rod.
The rod bolts require use a 12 point 1/4" socket and a quality inch lb torque wrench

When installing the billet flywheel, it is important to seat the new wheel with the crankshaft. This is easily done with a small amount of valve grinding compound. Put a small dab on the crank extension taper where the flywheel will ride, with the key removed. Place flywheel on the shaft and rotate several times with slight pressure inward. You should see a faint gray line around both parts when done correctly. Take the flywheel off and clean both inside of flywheel and shaft very well. At this point you can re-install the key and place flywheel on the shaft. The starter cup will have a notch that will correspond with a hole at the front of the flywheel. Properly place the cup on, then tighten the nut to 65 FOOT pounds.
